About Dr Amy

Amy E Chadwick, ND, FACEMIP
Naturopathic Physician
Fellow of the American College of Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology
Founder and Owner: Soaring Crane Natural Health Center

Amy grew up in Boise, Idaho at the foot of the mountains and the edge of the desert. She knew early on that she was called to be a physician.

Obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in English from the University Alaska Fairbanks, she also fell in love with and married a lifelong Alaskan, Michael. Observing nature, rhythms, ecology and human physiology, Amy found inspiration and awe in the intricacy and synchronicity present in all spheres of life.

While living in rural Alaska, Amy was drawn to Naturopathic medicine which gave her a field where she is encouraged to examine nature, study the science and art of medicine, and treat patients on all levels of being.

Graduating with high honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, Amy interned in women’s medicine, pediatrics and the treatment and management of chronic disease utilizing biotherapeutic drainage. She had the privilege of studying under some of the greatest physicians in the profession.

Returning to Alaska, Amy founded Soaring Crane Natural Health Center and with immense gratitude and joy, she practiced naturopathic family medicine within the Mat-Su Community for eight years. She revels in creating a safe space for her patients to tell their story. It is an honor to witness the healing journey, and provide guidance for her patients in finding and maintaining lifelong wellness. Amy is an avid reader and a scientist at heart; constantly learning, researching and delving into the “why” behind each of her patients’ imbalances.

Led to continue her education and bring even more finesse and skill to her practice and this question of “why”, Amy completed a two year fellowship in Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology taught by Dr Kamyar Hedayat in San Diego.

With Dr Chadwick’s in depth education, extensive training, and intuition, she is able to assess and treat individual layers of imbalance on all levels of wellness in each of her patients; offering treatments that are simple, subtle and powerful. Amy strives to be an effective teacher, a wisdom-bearer, a holder of sacred space where her patients can be fully present, share their story, learn and heal.

In 2014, Dr Amy, her husband and their English Mastiff, Buck, moved to San Diego. Soaring Crane Natural Health Center has the immense privilege of holding the space where Dr Hedayat, her mentor and teacher, has practiced and recently moved from to return to Chicago. Amy continues to pursue the lifelong path of delving into endobiogeny, human physiology and informational and systems based medicine. Amy is assisting in teaching future fellows of Endobiogeny, participating in research, and public speaking.

Michael and Amy enjoy being in nature and in community. They can be found hiking, shooting traditional archery, having dinner with friends, or playing with their dog in their spare time. Amy is an avid hobby photographer and loves to cook and delight in food.

Amy has an active yoga and meditation practice; a commitment to cultivate her own wellness and pursue her path with the highest integrity, mindfulness and sensitivity available. She strives to promote health in her self, her clinic, her community and her world.

Amy sits in gratitude and wonder for the immense fortune of living in beautiful spaces, having the privilege of her patients trust and care, and for her many teachers and mentors and loved ones who undeniably and wholeheartedly support and encourage her to be well, whole and in full alignment.

Soaring Crane Natural Health Center was born in Alaska but as cranes are wont to do, has migrated south. The crane is a symbol of peace, of longevity, of relationship, of joy.

Dr Chadwick is thrilled to be in San Diego. She and her staff welcome you to this space and strive to provide a place for healing, relaxation and peace.
